Upon reflection, I realize that there are two seminal moments that birthed Eynonye (Ee-no-nee). The first moment was when I was 12 years old and unintentionally began to become aware of the importance of what I put into my body. This happened when our family diet was radically overhauled, a result of my mother’s visit with a naturopathic doctor to help with her allergies. While this awareness of what I put in my body continued into adulthood it was only after watching a program on a local PBS station that I began to think about not only what I put into my body, but also what I put onto my body. I refer to this as my IN + ON moment.
